On March 26th, 2025, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a gray Buick SUV driven by Jonathan Gallegos, who fled the scene. Authorities located the damaged vehicle, and Gallegos later turned himself in. He admitted to drinking before the crash, and a blood draw warrant was issued for further investigation.
