APD Investigating Fatal Crash at Louisiana Blvd and Montgomery Blvd NE

APD traffic officers, CSI personnel, and the OMI investigate the scene of a vehicle vs pedestrian fatal in NE ABQ Sunday night

NE Albuquerque – Shortly after 6:50PM on Sunday, APD’s Civilian Director of Communications Gilbert Gallegos, sent out an email reporting that APD officers were investigating a fatal crash that involved a vehicle that hit a pedestrian. The fatal crash happened on Louisiana Blvd, just south of Montgomery Blvd NE. APD reports that the female pedestrian was reportedly deceased on scene.

It appears a silver or gray SUV hit the female and the driver stayed on scene.

All northbound and southbound lanes of traffic are currently closed on Louisiana while APD traffic investigates. APD’s Traffic Division is currently investigating this incident. We noticed on scene there was no crosswalk where the pedestrian was hit and killed.
