Albuquerque, NM – According to an e-mail release from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office they are now investigating a Friday case as a double homicide after two brothers, 15 and 14 years old, were killed in a shooting at 224 Atrisco Vista Blvd SW on January 27, 2023. The second juvenile victim (14) was removed from life support early this morning and is now confirmed deceased. BCSO Violent Crimes and Homicide detectives are actively investigating this case and continue to seek assistance from anyone with information on the double homicide.
There is a GoFundMe page asking for financial support and is giving updates about the situation. One post indicates the parents are donating the organs of the teen who was just taken off of life support.
Radio dispatch calls indicate the 15-year-old died on scene from at least one gunshot wound to the head and his 14-year-old brother had at least one gunshot wound to his abdomen.
According to BCSO, the unidentified suspects fled the area in a dark-colored 4-door sedan. Limited details are available at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation. Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes and Homicide Detectives are actively investigating this case and ask anyone with information to email violentcrimes@bernco.gov.
This now makes the 7th homicide for 2023 in the Albuquerque area.
