The Albuquerque Police Department’s Motors Unit is currently conducting a crash investigation at Mountain and San Mateo. A fatal crash has occurred at this location leaving one person dead on scene.
The exact nature of the accident is still unclear, as officials are working to determine whether the victim was a pedestrian or a motorcyclist.
Details surrounding the incident remain scarce, and the identity of the victim is yet to be released.
Northbound San Mateo is currently shut down at Mountain while APD officers investigate the crash.
