Jacobi Carrillo, 26, of Belen, N.M.
Albuquerque –
APD’s Traffic Unit arrested Jacobi Carrillo, 26, of Belen, N.M. he was arrested in Albuquerque after speeding like a maniac throughout the Duke City with speeds at times in excess of 120MPH. Carrillo was driving an orange 2016 Challenger and took off from a parking lot where police suspected a street race operation was going to happen in NE Albuquerque.
Carrillo had no care in the world as he drove around dangerously and recklessly putting Albuquerque residents in danger with his fantasy of being Dom Toretto. According to the criminal complaint, he used the roadway shoulders to pass slower cars and weaved in and out of lanes in a dangerous manner.
The complaint goes on to say that Carrillo’s lead foot eventually exhausted his gas tank since in Hollywood movies race cars never have to refuel. He then abandoned his empty useless car and tried to flee from officers on foot instead but was captured by APD officers.
Carrillo was booked into jail and charged with reckless driving, improper vehicle registration, and no insurance.
