Good Samaritan Gets Shot Trying to Stop Shoplifting in Albuquerque

SW Albuquerque –

Albuquerque Police were dispatched to the Burlington Coat Factory at 4208 Central Ave. SW in regards to a gun shot wound victim. When they arrived they found a victim that was shot in the back. Witnesses told police that the victim tried to stop shoplifters running to a car and was shot.

At the time of this update the victim was transported to UNMH in stable condition. The suspect vehicle was reported as a possible black Chrysler 300 with a blacked out license plate cover.
