Grandson Goes Nuts in House, BCSO Catches Him After Foot Chase

BCSO deputies talk a plan of action to take a teen into custody.

North Albuquerque – Around 10AM, Bernalillo County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to 201 Alameda Rd. NE in regards to a teen who was destroying items at his grandparents house .

According to BCSO’s Public Information Coordinator Jayme Fuller, she said, while deputies were en-route, dispatch advised them that the male had armed himself with a handgun and was actively shooting inside the home with his grandparents (two victims) inside.

Upon deputies arrival, the suspect fled on foot and a perimeter was established. The suspect, a 17-year-old teen, was later apprehended after a foot pursuit within the trailer park which is located at 10200 2nd St. NW.

BCSO violent crime detectives are now investigating the scene. The 17-year-old will face felony charges. This silly Mijito will now be booked into the the Juvenile Detention Center and likely have a really light sentence.
