San Jose neighborhood Albuquerque –
The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on John St SE on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
We were told that the shooting happened at approximately 5:00PM. When APD officers arrived on the scene, they found a victim who had been shot at least once in the groin area. The victim was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
The street was blocked off between John and the two cross streets of Dan Ave and Southern Ave SE.
Police were holding the crime scene to get an update from medical personnel and they were also waiting for evidence technicians to arrive to begin processing the scene.
The shooting appeared to have occurred at a home on John. Police have not released any information about the victim or the suspect.
A very aggressive female APD Sergeant demanded that our reporter leave the scene. It was unclear why she was angry at people in public places.
The investigation is ongoing.
