On August 25th, 2022, the Albuquerque Police Department was handling unrelated call homicide situation when other APD officers were requested to check out a vehicle in the parking lot which had been sitting there for months at the Arioso Apartments located at 7303 Montgomery Blvd NE.

Upon officers inspection of the vehicle they found what they thought was two dead bodies inside the car. One body appeared to be in the front seat and the other body looked to be in the back seat in the fetal position. The car windows were closed.

ABQ RAW reached out to the Office of the Medical Investigator to find out what the status of the case was and they gave us a body intake update.

Apparently what appeared at first to be two bodies was just one which during the decomposition stage separated into two parts.

“They confirmed one body was brought in from the Montgomery NE location on August 25. No next of kin have been contacted and the cause of death is still pending,” said OMI spokesman Michael Haederle in an email.
