Suspect Dead After Officer Involved Shooting on Tramway Blvd

Foothills Albuquerque –

Around 2:25AM, Albuquerque Police officers got a call about a crashed vehicle in the median of Tramway Blvd between Menual Blvd and Rover Ave. NE. When officers arrived, they found a grey sedan with heavy front end damage.

A multi-agency taskforce investigates the scene of an officer involved shooting on 11/05/2022 on Tramway Blvd.

According to APD, officers were removing crash victims from the crashed car when an officer indicated there was a possible firearm on scene and shots were fired. At least one suspect was struck by the gunfire.

Rescue arrived on scene and rendered aid, but the suspect died on scene. A multi-agency task force investigated the scene into the early morning hours on Tramway Blvd. No officers involved were hurt during the shooting.

This is Albuquerque’s 151st homicide and the eighth APD deadly officer involved shooting of 2022.
