Albuquerque –

Today at around 1:00PM, the Albuquerque Police Department was called to the 12200 block of Montgomery Blvd NE in reference to a barricaded subject in an apartment complex unit. The person has ignored commands from APD to come out of the apartment and it has lead to a SWAT call out.

Witnesses in the area tell us they hear PA announcements telling residents nearby to stay inside their homes. Other announcements are ordering the suspect to come out with their hands up.

We have learned the situation began after a domestic violence situation.

Around 8:30PM, APD civilian public information officer Gilbert Gallegos sent an email to the media indicating SWAT entered the residence and did NOT locate a suspect.

This is a developing story and we will update if we learn more information.
