SE ABQ – Around 1:30AM this morning, a popular special shapes hot air balloon was stolen from the hotel its pilots were staying at. The pilots report that their trailer contains the Joelly Bee balloon, however both the truck pulling the trailer and the trailer itself were stolen from the hotel parking lot. A police report was made immediately upon discovery. The truck had Texas license plates when it was last seen.
The balloon was set to fly this morning at the annual Special Shapes Rodeo. The “parent bee” balloons are still scheduled to be at the fiesta this morning.
