NW Albuquerque –
Today, July 29, 2023, there was a serious rollover crash in Northwest Albuquerque that required immediate action from the police officers in the Albuquerque Police Department’s Northwest Area Command. The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Unser Blvd. and Tierra Pintada Blvd. NW, just north of Ladera Dr.
Sadly, one person lost their life at the scene, and another person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
To find out what led to this fatal rollover accident, APD’s Motors Unit is on the way to conduct a thorough investigation. APD’s Motors Unit has special skills and training in examining crash sites and gathering evidence.
For safety reasons, drivers are being urged to avoid the area for some time. Certain traffic lanes will be blocked to allow the investigators the space they need to work and find answers.
APD reports that “some lanes of traffic will be blocked for several hours during the investigation.”
As the investigation unfolds, we’ll be keeping a close eye on updates from the Albuquerque Police Department.
