Christopher Maldonado and Ana Melendez
Albuquerque – Yesterday, the U. S. Marshals Service District of New Mexico –
Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (USMS-SWIFT) arrested Christopher Anthony
Maldonado, age 35, wanted for failure to appear following grand jury indictments: 1. first
degree murder, 2. willful and deliberate, 3. armed robbery and 4. conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
In addition to Maldonado, Ada Melendez, age 33, was arrested for a New Mexico Department of Corrections warrant after being convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (several counts).
“These arrests were significant, thus reducing the number of violent felons roaming the streets of Albuquerque by two more,” said Sonya K. Chavez, U.S. Marshal for the District of New Mexico. “We will continue to focus on individuals like these two who have total disregard for public safety” she added.Both, Maldonado and Melendez were booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center, following their arrests.
