Violent Crime Happens Near Central and San Pedro

Albuquerque –

On November 28th, 2023, a large police presence was seen near Central Avenue and San Pedro Drive. Albuquerque Police Department shut down the area to investigate a violent crime.

The area is known for heavy homeless traffic and a few homeless people on the street told us they saw a man bleeding heavily from an apparent stabbing incident. A witness said the unidentified man was stabbed in the face and was bleeding out all over Central in front of Sonic. We did see a pile of bloody clothes on Central.

While on scene we observed APD officers talking to someone in the back of a patrol unit. It is unclear if they were the suspect or a witness in the case. The police unit did drive away from our cameras to a side alley where an APD criminalistic investigator was going to photograph that person.
