An Albuquerque officer arrived at 8th and Atlantic around 11:20 PM on April 2 to investigate a crash and discovered a gunshot victim inside the vehicle. Officers provided medical aid while waiting for responders. Homicide detectives were dispatched— their second call in six hours. Police blocked streets to conduct the investigation.
