Albuquerque –
The Albuquerque Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation at the Wilson Pool located at 6000 Anderson SE.
While on scene we observed homicide investigators collecting evidence and documenting the scene in the parking lot. We also noticed a City of Albuquerque Metro Security SUV with heavy damage on the driver side of the vehicle. A short distance away in front of the SUV was another vehicle with an adult male dead near the driver side of the vehicle.
There is a mobile video station trailer in the parking lot and investigators were trying to extract data from the trailer to piece together what happened
It is unclear how the Metro Security person was involved in the incident.
We will update this story when we learn more.
This is the second homicide investigation in the Albuquerque metro area in less than 12 hours. On October 2, APD officers responded to 8319 Aztec Road NE, after a male was located deceased inside the garage. Due to evidence at the scene, the APD Homicide Unit was called out.

I live in the apts right here across from Wilson pool . On the north side of Anderson. Around 230-300am I heard a loud crashing sound out front of my complex. I figured it was just a vehicle crash due to drunks or someone on drugs. It’s the first of the month and people have money.

I lived across the street from Wilson park in the 1980s. It was a nice park. Then around 2019 maybe 2020 the zombies came. The mayor’s solution spend a lot of money putting a short fence and a sidewalk around the park plus a playground. The fence kept the stolen shopping carts out of the park, but the zombies still encamped on the edge of the park. This band-aid solution enriched a contractor but did little to address the crime in and near the park. In 2022, a thug robbed the owner and staff of Giovanni’s pizzaria which is located in a mall across the street from the park. The owner, Rosario Zito, pulled out a gun and died in a gun fight with Sylvan Alcachupas. It was a very risky move by Rosario, but I’m sure he was fed up with crime and zombies that were constantly besieging his business. Now we have this latest murder at the park. The zombie apocalypse continues in the International Drugs District. The politicians don’t care about the IDD. The mayor is out today enjoying the balloons far from the IDD.
