Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and Albuquerque Fire and Rescue were sent to the scene. Upon their arrival, they found one individual who was stabbed at least once in the neck area.

We got to witness a squad of New Mexico National Guard soldiers deployed to the intersection to block off the scene while APD and AFR tended to the victim. Their presence appears to greatly assist with freeing up officers for more urgent issues instead of using actual officers to just park and block an intersection.

The man who was stabbed walked to the ambulance and he had a massive piece of gauze on his neck. He was taken to UNMH with apparent non-life threatening injuries.

If we learn more, we will update you.
