Albuquerque –
There is an Officer-Involved Shooting in the 200 block of Westcourt Pl NW. This street is near Central and 63rd St. NW. APD is also investigating another scene that is connected to this incident.
The suspect was injured and transported to a UNMH. The suspect was armed with a firearm when he was shot by APD officers.
No officers were injured during the shooting.
Albuquerque Police Officers, Police Service Aides, and National Guard have 60th and Central and 63rd and Central closed as the Multi Agency Task Force investigates. Drivers may also see southbound Coors at Avalon blocked off.
The investigation will close many roads in the area while police do their thing.
