One Shot and Killed in ABQ War Zone

Albuquerque –

Just before 12:15 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department responded to reports of a shooting near Florida St SE and Cochiti Rd SE . A man had been shot and was critically injured.

While on scene we saw emergency personnel from Albuquerque Fire and Rescue working on the man. He was then transported to the University of New Mexico Hospital.

Detectives are processing the scene and roads are blocked in the area. Police are also searching for the offender.

UPDATE:

Around 2:30PM, APD informed the media that the man died at the hospital and they made it a homicide call out.
