UPDATE: APD Confirms Teen has Died from Shootout at Allsups

ALBUQUERQUE –

Last night, we reported a shootout at 9501 Gibson Blvd., S.W., which is the Allsups Gas Station. We reported there were two victims that were shot and transported to a local hospital.

Earlier Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Gilbert Gallegos e-mailed media that APD homicide detectives took over a shooting investigation after the victim died as a result of his wounds overnight.

Two people were shot Tuesday around 8 p.m. while sitting in a vehicle at the Allsups, located at 9501 Gibson Blvd., S.W. Both victims were transported to a local hospital.

One victim, a 17-year-old male, later died as a result of his gunshot wound. The second victim, a 17-year-old female, was shot several times, but she is in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing and APD did not give any information on suspects. This is the 2nd homicide in 24 hours for the Duke City.
