APD Investigating Two Separate Overnight Homicides

Albuquerque –

Detectives from the Albuquerque Police Department are investigating two overnight deaths.

In the first case, officers found an individual with gunshot wounds near Kathryn Ave SE & Madeira Dr SE. Detectives have launched a homicide investigation into that situation.

In the second case, officers responded to reports that a vehicle struck an individual at Eubank Blvd NE and Menaul Blvd NE. They found the person dead in the roadway. Further investigation revealed additional injuries inconsistent with only the crash. Because of the mystery injuries detectives initiated a homicide investigation.

Police urge drivers to avoid the busy area of Menaul and Eubank. APD states they will release more information when it becomes available.
