According to a criminal complaint, 29-year-old Rico Dukes solicited an undercover APD officer posing as a hooker. Dukes asked the undercover officer for “head” for $40. He was told to go to a side street and was pulled over by marked APD police units. He was taken into custody without incident.

Dukes is the famous fake cop who went on Tinder dates in a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s uniform. He was not employed by BCSO and claimed to be a certified law enforcement officer. He was convicted in 2024 of impersonating a police officer.

On this current charge, he was charged with patronizing a prostitute, which is a petty misdemeanor.
