According to Gilbert Gallegos, APD’s Civilian Director of Communications, APD officers are investigating a hit-and-run that involves a vehicle that struck a pedestrian in the area of Legacy Church, which is located at 7201 Central Ave. N.W. It appears that the AFR was dispatched to this call around 2:20PM.
The victim was transported to a local hospital.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible. The eastbound lane of Central Ave is closed from Unser Blvd to Airport Drive SW.
