APD Investigating the Metro’s Latest Homicide near Downtown

Albuquerque – APD tells us that just before 5PM this evening, Officers were dispatched to the area of 2nd St. and Arvada in response to someone being stabbed. The offender was seen fleeing the scene.

Upon officers arrival, they found a male victim who appeared to have been stabbed. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he died from those stab wounds.

The scene was among a homeless encampment and we could see investigators looking at a tent and a bloody sidewalk.

APD says the investigation will be assumed by the homicide unit. The area is closed while their investigation is conducted. This is the second homicide in 24 hours.
