15 Year old Mall Shooter Turns Himself In

Albuquerque – We have learned that earlier this evening 15 year old Isaiah Montoya turned himself in to NMSP officers at their office on Carlisle. Montoya is seen on video shooting towards Coronado Mall after a dispute with another teen for whom he had an ongoing online beef. Police formally charged Montoya yesterday with Shooting at an Occupied Building, Disorderly Conduct, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun by a Person, Unlawful Carrying of a Deadly Weapon (concealed loaded firearm), and Criminal Damage to Property,

Police and media had originally thought the boy was 14 but it was confirmed today that he is 15, born September of 2008. Montoya was turned over to APD detectives by NMSP and he will be interviewed then most likely booked into the juvenile justice system.
