According to APD’s Director of Communications, Gilbert Gallegos, APD officers were called to a motorcycle crash on eastbound I-40 in the area of 6th Street NW. The rider of the motorcycle was seriously injured and they were transported to the hospital.
According to APD’s email, the eastbound lanes of I-40 are reportedly closed at this time. Drivers should seek an alternative route or expect delays.
An ABQ RAW reader reported to us that drivers were being forced to exit I-40 eastbound at 12th Street.
