Accused Felon Will Be Held Until Trial

Albuquerque – On February 2nd, 2023, the Albuquerque Police Department arrested Christian Wood, 26, who fired at APD officers after stealing one car and attempting to dismantle a city-owned bait vehicle.

Today, a judge has ruled that Wood shall remain behind bars until his trials on a variety of cases he had pending within the New Mexico court system.

On January 21, 2023 Wood stole an APD bait-car in the area of Gibson and Yale. Wood is known to Auto Theft Detectives as a repeat auto theft offender with violent tendencies and multiple outstanding felony warrants.

Woods is currently charged with Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle X2, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and aggravated fleeing from law enforcement among other charges.
