AFR and APD Working Rio Grande River Rescue

Albuquerque –

Around 1:10PM, The Albuquerque Police Department and Albuquerque Fire Rescue were dispatched to the Rio Grande River for a rescue of a human that was in the water. The rescue and search is being conducted near the I-40 river bridge.

This is second river rescue in the last 24 hours for the Albuquerque area.

UPDATE:

As of 3:30PM, authorities called of the search and found it was a person with mental health issues calling in the person being in the river.
