At approximately 6:52 AM on July 28th, Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to 441 Texas St SE in response to multiple reports of a structure fire involving a single-story, single-family dwelling.

AFR Medic 5 was first on scene and confirmed a working fire with visible smoke and flames coming from the front of the structure. Engine 5 initiated fire attack by deploying a hoseline for suppression, while Ladder 5 performed forcible entry and ventilation operations to gain access and support interior crews. Medic 5 conducted a primary search of the adjacent exposure unit.

Firefighters brought the fire under control within approximately 10 minutes of arrival. The structure, identified as an abandoned property with a history of previous fires, sustained significant damage.

AFR stated that no civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. As the building was unoccupied, no civilian displacement occurred.

AFR Fire Investigators responded to the scene. The cause of the fire remains undetermined at the time of this publication.
