Apartment Fire Displaces Several Residents in NE ABQ

Albuquerque –

At around 5:30 pm, Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) responded to reports of a multifamily two-story residential fire at 1403 Pennsylvania St. NE. The location is the Pinewood Estates Apartment complex. 

AFR officials tell us that Engine 5 arrived and reported a working fire in a unit on the second floor of Building 16. The fire was brought under control within 35 minutes and all loss was stopped in 48 minutes. One person was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Approximately 16 occupants were displaced because of the fire. The Red Cross has been contacted to assist the displaced residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
