On July 28th, 2026, the Albuquerque Police Department was called to a known house with a history of domestic violence at the 600 block of Alvarado Drive SE. This call was in reference to a boyfriend battering his boyfriend with a step stool. The suspect was identified as 28-year-old Harry Pinkney.
When APD arrived they observed Pinkey running from the residence and jumping fences. We arrived on scene shortly after APD arrived. Officers on the ground with the assistance of air support were actively trying to locate Pinkney. Ground officers could be seen jumping fences and they eventually found Pinkey in an adjacent backyard.
Pinkey was taken into custody and escorted to a police unit. He could be heard pleading with his victim and sister of the victim to not proceed with charges.
“You know what you did? You made your bed. Now you lay in it!,” said the sister of the victim.
Pinkey harnessed his inner toddler energy and slammed his head against the police unit while he was in custody. Police threatened to put protective headgear on the suspect to prevent him from more head bashing.
Pinkey has a history of beating his boyfriend dating back to last year and police have arrested him a total of eight times. A few cases are still pending and others have been dropped due to the victim not wanting to prosecute his lover.
In this case he was charged with two counts of aggravated battery against a household member, criminal damage to property, and resisting an officer.
