An APD Officer guards the front door of the scene

NE Albuquerque – Around 2:30PM today, Albuquerque Police Officers were called to the 200 block of General Stillwell NE for a welfare check on an individual that had not been seen for a while. Upon Officers entry into the residence they found a deceased male. As a precaution APD homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate further.

Albuquerque police Lt. Ray Del Greco told us that: “Officers found a male who appeared to be deceased, not as a result of natural causes”.

APD homicide detectives talk inside a mobile Violent Crimes Command Center.

APD was waiting for a warrant from the DA’s Office to be approved in order to search the residence and to find more clues to determine a cause of death.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.
