APD Investigates Shooting Near Old Town at Parking Garage, 1 Critical Injured

Albuquerque-

According to the Albuquerque Police Department, APD detectives are investigating an overnight shooting that critically injured a victim in the area of Mountain Rd and 20^th St., N.W.

Officers responded to reports of the shooting shortly after 3 a.m. APD’s ShotSpotter system also indicated shots fired in the area of a parking garage at a business complex north of Old Town.

The female victim was located and transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

Detectives were called to the scene to start an investigation, which is on-going.

It was not clear if homicide detectives or the Gun Violence Reduction Unit was handling the case.
