NE Albuquerque –
Just after 4PM, the Albuquerque Police Department was dispatched to the 6500 Sunset Pointe Apartments located near 6500 Montgomery Blvd NE. While on scene APD officers engaged in a shooting with a suspect. All officers are reportedly OK. The suspect was taken to the local hospital and no officers were hurt in the shooting.
This is an ongoing story and we will update when we have more information.

We have learned that the suspect has died from their injuries.
We have a crew on scene waiting for an update from APD.
