Albuquerque –
Around 10:18AM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and Air 2 began searching for a suspect, who may be armed with a machete, in the area of Lead Ave. and Mesa St. S.E. A woman was reportedly cut by the machete wielding man, and phoned police for help.
APD’s helicopter assisted ground officers in the search for the suspect, with SWAT also present.
Around noon APD broke down the perimeter and could not locate the wanted suspect. The suspect was described as a heavy set white man.
You don’t see machetes being used very often in this country to attack people in a weird way it’s a nice change of pace
I agree!
Sure, it’s “really nice.”
I said in a weird way lol
About two years ago I saw two men walking in an alley behind Central near Copper. One was carrying a machete and swinging it, and he yelled at a man who was working on his car in a parking lot next to the alley, saying “I’m going to kill you!”
I called 911. Silly me. The dispatcher seemed disinterested when I did not mention blood or an ongoing physical attack. The next year a man attacked several people with a machete and was finally caught by APD. He had ridden his bicycle to a few places on the street where he stopped to make his attacks.
I recall that last incident you mentioned.
I was of of tubiez gutterez’s victims a couple years back on superbowl Sunday. APD dropped the ball on that 1 too. Thanks AGAIN APD
