The Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education is committed to utilizing community values as the driving force behind its initiatives. In this spirit, board members are hosting town halls within their respective districts to facilitate direct communication with community members.

The next two town halls are scheduled for this week.

  • District 7:  6:00 PM, Tuesday, Jan. 28, La Cueva High School, 7801 Wilshire Ave.
  • District 6:  5:30 PM, Friday, Jan. 31, Oñate Elementary School, 12415 Brentwood Hills Blvd. NE

The District 3 town hall was held last week at Del Norte High School and focused on hearing from students.

APS Board members have been holding listening sessions for the community regularly, seeking input on everything from the APS budget and school calendars to the hiring of the superintendent. The student outcome goals set by the board were based on input from the community.
