Albuquerque –
The Albuquerque Public Schools sent the media release below and asked that it be shared with the community.
The Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education prioritizes community values in its decision-making. In that spirit, board members are hosting town halls in their districts to hear directly from community members. Please help us get the word out.
The next two town halls will be:
- District 2: 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4 at Marie Hughes Elementary School, 5701 Mojave St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120
- District 1: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 22 at Harrison Middle School, 3912 Isleta Blvd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105
The APS Board held town halls for Districts 6 and 7 last week and for District 3 earlier this month.
APS Board members have been holding listening sessions for the community regularly, seeking input on everything from the APS budget and school calendars to the hiring of the superintendent. The student outcome goals set by the board were based on input from the community.
I’ve got a suggestion for APS: Ditch the woke agenda including CRT and DEI. In addition APS has no business discussing gender dysphoria issues with students. And finally ban Smart Phones in classrooms and focus on English, Math and History. And please, if a kid is failing….FLUNK HIM.
That’ll be the day.
Teachers take note, if you don’t fail kids and get them the remedial education they need, you end up with more Sluggos.
T is short for Troll.
