BCSO Investigates Overnight Homicide in SW ABQ

SW Albuquerque – According to a news release from Bernalillo County Sheriff’s office, on February 16, 2022, at approximately 10:58 pm, deputies responded to a shooting near the 2600 block of Granada Rd SW in the South Valley of Albuquerque, NM.

When deputies arrived, a deceased male was located on scene. Deputies also contacted a female victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The female was quickly transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. BCSO Homicide and Violent Crime Detectives were immediately called to the scene, and multiple witnesses were questioned.

This is the 17th homicide of 2022 for the Albuquerque Metro area.
