BCSO Releases Update on Fatal Shooting in South Valley, Victim Identified

Albuquerque –

On the morning of September 16th, around 10:30 AM, deputies from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call near Douglas Rd. SW and Maplewood Ave SW, where they found a deceased individual, later identified as 25-year-old Bryan Duran.

The BCSO Homicide Unit immediately took over the investigation. Initial findings show that Mr. Duran was shot at least once. According to BCSO, Mr. Duran’s family has been properly notified.

BCSO Detectives are actively working the scene, gathering evidence and information to uncover the circumstances surrounding Mr. Duran’s death.

As the investigation is ongoing, BCSO has stated that limited details are available to the public. However, BCSO reports that more information will be shared as the case progresses and facts are confirmed.
