Albuquerque –
Just before 7:20 AM, a person called 911 to report finding a body behind a church in the 210 block of Locust St. NE. The caller stated they believed the individual appeared to be beyond help and had a wound to their face.
Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to the scene to determine whether the individual was beyond medical help, but was informed that Albuquerque Police officers had not yet arrived.
Upon arrival, it was determined the person was deceased.
APD detectives are currently investigating a suspicious death near Locust St. and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. N.E. Southbound Locust is closed to traffic while the investigation is ongoing.
