Around 4:00 PM on June 4, 2024, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department responded to a call about shots fired at 3111 Jane Pl NE. The apartment complex is called The Retreat Apartment Homes. When APD officers arrived, they reportedly found two people who had been shot.
Emergency personnel rushed the male victim to a local hospital, but the female victim died at the scene. At the time of the shooting, it was reported that the male victim was in grave condition.
We have since learned that the male victim, Abdullah Abbas, has died. Kylee Silva, who was only 17 years old, was officially identified as the female victim. Abdullah Abbas’ murder is the 52nd homicide in 2024, for the Albuquerque Metro area.
