Gunshot Victim Dropped Off at Local Hospital, Shooting Happens at Apartment Complex

Albuquerque –

Around 4:30 PM, Officers from the University Area command were dispatched to two scenes for a shooting. One was the City View Apartments located at 3405 Crest Ave SE and the other was Presbyterian Downtown Hospital. A man was dropped off with a gunshot wound to the stomach at the hospital.

The man was transported to UNMH for better trauma care and when officers asked him about the shooting he wasn’t snitchin. The apartment complex parking lot was where officers were investigating where the shooting happened. The complex parking lot had many cars without license plates or expired temporary tags. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit is handling the shooting investigation.
