NE Albuquerque – In an incident that unfolded just before midnight, the Albuquerque Police Department’s Homicide Unit has taken over an investigation into a shooting that occurred in the vicinity of Ralph Ave NE and Propps St NE. Officers initially responded to reports of gunfire in the area and arrived to find a grim scene. While one victim tragically succumbed to their injuries at the scene, another victim was discovered at a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
Given the involvement of two victims in this shooting, the Albuquerque Police Department’s Homicide Unit has taken the lead in investigating the incident. At present, the condition of the hospitalized victim remains unknown, and law enforcement officials are diligently working to determine the exact circumstances surrounding their injuries.
APD is urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and assist in the investigation.
No other details are available at this time. APD has not released if there is a suspect in this case.
