Albuquerque –
The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) has apprehended four juvenile suspects for their reckless act of targeting the homelessness in downtown Albuquerque. The suspects used BB guns to fire at the victims, resulting in two people being hit, including a city responder from the Albuquerque Community Safety department.
The breakthrough in this case came when officers managed to identify the perpetrators by reviewing video footage obtained from the Real Time Crime Center and license plate readers. It was through these technological tools that they pinpointed a light-colored Chevrolet Tahoe as the getaway vehicle used by the suspects.
With this information in hand, APD located the vehicle at a residence in Southwest Albuquerque, believed to be the home of one of the offenders. During the search, officers found two BB guns inside the residence and ammunition inside the Tahoe.
The suspects were taken into custody without incident and they agreed to speak with the police.
