Detectives begin their investigation into the 135th homicide of 2022

SE Albuquerque –
On September 30th, 2022, Albuquerque Police were called to the intersection of Central and Wyoming NE reference a man who had been shot multiple times. When officers arrived on scene they found the male at the bus stop deceased on scene.
Several witnesses in the area said these incidents happen all the time in the “war zone”. One man told us he had just seen someone killed at the intersection six months ago. He had heard about this latest death and came to see if he knew the man. An extremely intoxicated and understandably distraught woman came to the scene and claimed to be the victim’s brother. The woman told us a man shot her brother 4 to 5 times and took off from the scene. She is later seen trying to talk to an officer.

APD Crime scene specialists look over potential evidence.
APD field officers, homicide detectives, and crime scene specialists were on scene and could be seen locking down the perimeter and piecing together what may have happened.
