Just before 6:45 PM, a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle was reported near the intersection of Central Ave NE and Charleston St NE. The caller told 911 it appeared the rider was not moving.

Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and crews from Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to the scene. At the time of the incident, Police Service Aides and National Guard Units closed the westbound lanes of Central at Charleston.

AFR’s Medic 5 transported the rider to the University of New Mexico Hospital. The driver of the vehicle also sustained injuries and was transported by AFR upon request.

APD reopened Central around 9PM. The rider was reportedly listed in stable condition. The condition of the other driver is not presently known.
