Albuquerque –
Around 9:50AM, the Albuquerque Police Department received a call about a man who had been shot near Ventana Rd and Universe Blvd. NW.
When officers arrived, they found a man with at least one gunshot wound. The victim was able to give officers a description of the vehicle and offender. APD and AFR rescue personnel provided aid to the man and he was transported to a local hospital.
Schools around the neighborhood were put on lock down as a precaution. The intersection of Ventana Rd and Universe Blvd. NW is closed.
APD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) will be investigating this shooting.
