Multi-Agency Task Force Investigates BCSO Deputy-Involved Shooting Near Far North Tramway

Albuquerque –

The Multi-Agency Task Force is responding to a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office Deputy-involved shooting which took place near the 500 block of Live Oak Pl NE. The closest major intersection is Tramway Blvd and Live Oak Pl.

All deputies are safe. One individual was shot and killed. The suspect was transported to UNMH and died at the hospital. There are currently no outstanding suspects. BCSO officials told us there was a call at a home with a violent person arming themselves. BCSO did not specify what kind of weapon the person armed themselves with.

We will report back when we learn more.

    1. The person killed was having a psycological episode, he was not a criminal. He had a family that surely loved him. It is sad not something to celebrate.

  3. Abqraw, you might want to review the BCSO Statement. Other news sources are reporting the initial call was “…at a home with a violent person harming themselves…” not “arming themselves”. Please clarify, thanks for all you do.
