Albuquerque –

On October 3rd, 2025, Juan Dominguez Torres, the principal of Eldorado High School, sent out a letter to parents saying there was vandalism consisting of eggs being thrown at structures. The letter went on to say that a swastika was spray-painted on a side of a building.

The letter further states that APS Police are investigating the incident. Additionally, custodial staff painted over the Nazi symbol before school began.

Dominguez Torres finished the letter saying:

We will not let the intolerable actions of a small group define the inclusivity of our school community. If any students or community members have information with respect to this incident, I encourage you to reach out directly to me.

The spraying of the swastika could lead to hate crime charges under New Mexico law. We will update this story if we learn any more information or have suspect(s) information.
